NPO Food Bank Kyoto is very pleased to welcome Kyoto international

School (www.kis.ac.jp) as an official supporting member of our

organization. The school, an IB World School, strives to teach and

practice the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which are designed

as a "blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for

all". In keeping with Goal 2, Zero Hunger, the school has supported the

food bank with donations of various food items collected from the

students and the surrounding community. Both Kyoto International School

and NPO Food Bank Kyoto hope to forge stronger ties in years to come

through joint activities and events aimed at improving food security in

Kyoto city and environs.

NPOフードバンク京都は京都インターナショナルスクールを正式に賛助会員と認定したことをお知らせいたします。

国際バカロレア加盟校である京都インターナショナルスクールは、「すべての人にとってよりよい持続可能な未来を実現するための計画」として策定されたSDGsの17の世界目標の教育と実践に努めておられます。同校では17の世界目標のうち、目標2「飢餓をゼロに」への取組みとして、生徒や地域のコミュニティーから食料品の寄付をつのり、フードバンク京都の活動を支援いただいています。

今後、京都市ならびに周辺地域のフードセキュリティ問題改善に向けた合同イベントを通じて、京都インターナショナルスクールとNPOフードバンク京都の絆がより強いものとなることを願っています。
